Maybach limousines are the most valuable cars in the whole automotive history. Between 1920 and 1941 approximately 1.800 examples of these majestic cars have been manufactured in Friedrichshafen at the Lake Constance. Only 160 Maybach limousines survived over the last centuries.
More than 10 percent of the wohle world asset stands in Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate. Anna and Dr. Helmut Hofmann have not only collected these 16 precious examples of Maybach cars but have also founded a unique museum where these cars can be visited by the public.
With their private funds they purchased a historical industrial building, the former Express-Factory, in the center of Neumarkt and authentically rebuilt this area to a modern museum.
Not only the 16 cars but also motors, gears and axials as well as historical documents, models and short movies concerning the brand an the family "Maybach" can be seen there.
